Milo and the fire alarm

So yesterday, we were at Goodwill and Milo took the opportunity to climb up a chair and pull the fire alarm.

When the alarm went off and I didn't see him at my feet I knew it was him.
I have never seen him so scared... You could tell he knew he had done something bad. It was pretty funny.

With the alarm blaring, we walked up to the front of the store where the employees were trying to direct everyone out of the store and I told one of the clerks: "Here's why your alarm is going off!" I tried to get Milo to apologize. He was still very scared. However, after a minute he started yelling "It's TOO Loud!" at the clerk... as if it was her fault.

On the drive home I asked Milo what we learned from that experience and didn't get much of a response.

I guess some kids will do anything to see a firetruck....

Joey's First Hit and Run

Normally, you'd expect your child to have a driver's liscence before they have their first accident. However, Joey proved us wrong on May 20th.

Joey has had his first hit-and-run.

I parked the shopping cart against the cart corral at *(shopping center known for its red circle logo) and while I was putting Milo in his seat, the cart started rolling downhill (with Joey in it). He probably rolled 50 feet or so.

He hit a parked car and aside from a very confused Spanish-speaking gentleman, there were no witnesses. So we hopped back in the car and sped off.

Joey got a small split lip... but other than that, he was ok. He was even laughing on the way home. I think I'm still recovering...

Too bad we'll never know what was going through his mind while he was rolling down the lot... was it "Wee"... or "Oh Shit".
