Say Hello To My Little Friend

This was from a couple of weeks ago.

My mother sent down an air-powered marshmallow gun. Needless to say, that evening I went out for some 'ammo' in the form of a couple of 99-cent bags of mini-marshmallows.

It didn't take long for the boys to spot them on the counter. While Irene was home alone with the boys they got into them.

Tons of little marshmallows were spread across the floor with the boys double-fisting them into their mouths as fast as they could. The end result was their little mouths and noses were caked in a white powdery residue while they bounced off the walls for 20 minutes.

(those of you who were around in the 80's will see the humor in this)

Jesus Christ Joey

Joey is at the age where 'Catch Me' is a big game. Joey especially likes to play it when I'm not looking... or have my back to him.

Today he jumped off the bed and smacked the back of the chair I was sitting in while working on the computer... he got a bloody lip but otherwise was fine. His tears only lasted a second.

I sent Milo into the bathroom to get a wipey... but he didn't... so I sent Joey after one. Mommy was in the bathroom and was not aware that Joey had been hurt.

So Joey walked in with his silly little bloody smile and Mommy exclaimed "Jesus Christ Joey"

Once I assured Irene that he was ok she cleaned him up... but not before Milo walked over to his little brother and repeated 'Jesus Christ Joey!'

Merry Christmas Everyone - and let the record show that this was one of the few times Milo was prompted by someone other than Daddy to take the Lord's name in vain.

Time with Joey

11:20 pm

Joey rolled out of bed and hit the floor. I heard a 'thud' and then a quick cry and I ran into his room to make sure the little guy was ok. I picked him up and hugged him while he rested his head on my shoulder.

He only cried for a bit and then he fell back to sleep.

I held Joey for a bit longer and rocked back and forth while he slept in my arms.

I'm sorry you fell out of bed Joey. But I'm glad I got to spend a little extra time with you tonight.
