Joey Praises Daddy's Potty

Joey and I woke up early on Sunday morning. After changing his diaper, I decided I needed to go potty as well.

I guess some of Milo's potty training is rubbing off on Joey. It's not uncommon for him to want to sit on the toilet after changing him. However, today he took things from a different perspective.

When I finished and flushed the toilet, Joey clapped his little hands together and said "Yaaaah!"

I guess everyone should get some praise for each successful trip to the bathroom... no matter how old you are...

"What the... what the Poopy?"

We won't go in to what Daddy said to prop the above response from Milo. However, I think Milo has officially coined a new phrase that's slightly less vulgar.

From this day forward, let "What the Poopy" (or WTP for chatrooms and texting) be the new phrase representing disgust and/or confusion.

Friday Night Joey

So Joey's debut episode of Friday Night Lights was this evening...

Sunjae and his wife came over for a viewing party.

While Joey's clip was short, he was absolutely amazing. I think he might have actually been checking out the mom from the show too...

Technically it's a holiday weekend... but I'm sure that our phones will start ringing with offers from movie producers by Tuesday

Hey.. it's not everyday you get to be on TV...

Smallest Big Man on Campus

Today Joey went to UT with daddy to help out the the ADDY judging for the Austin Ad Fed. Joey helped judge a few entries by giving a few raspberries...

Since the judging takes place in a big TV studio there were lots of places for Joey to run and hide, along with lots of props, stacks of backdrops, and all kinds of wires, cords, and lights.

We made a few new friends as well.

Joey even picked out his locker - just in case he follows in mommy and daddy's footsteps and pursues a degree in communications.

"No thanks"

With the intention of instilling good manners, Milo's been taught to say "No thanks" when he doesn't want to eat something on his dinner plate.

This politeness has now extended to:

Milo, time for a bath - "No thanks."
Milo, time to potty - "No thanks."
Milo, going potty isn't a "thanks or no thanks" option. It's time to go potty. - "NO THANKS!"

Fair enough, I suppose. Rumor has it that we're within weeks of seeing clean Elmo underwear at the end of the day.

"I PEED!"

Yes, we're in the middle of potty-training for Milo. He's aware of the concept, but sometimes he's a little stubborn about it.

The other night at Burger King we convinced him that Sponge Bob was in the restroom. (Code for - If you go potty we'll give you the Sponge Bob toy that came with your meal.)

Milo hesitated, but he finally went in. After some shouting, he decided that he needed to go. Everything was successful!

When I opened the door to the restroom, Milo ran out and yelled "I Peed!" with a big grin to the entire crowd of customers...

The other Burger King patrons found it as amusing as we did...
