Let's take requests from our listeners.

As we are trying to impart a variety of music upon our children, here is a recent conversation between myself and our eldest, Milo.

Scene: Driving home from daycare, in the car.

Milo: I want Cure!
Mom: I don't have the Cure here, Daddy has it at home.
Milo: LIPS! (Rocky Horror Picture Show)
Mom: I don't have Lips, how about R.E.M.? Can you say "REM?"
Milo: NO REM!!! I WANT THE CURE!!!

Well, that about says it all. We are sticking to moody music with performers wearing extensive amounts of make-up.

Good boys inspire new in-store signage

In a recent trip to Goodwill, we noticed some new signs on the front door. The signs are your basic "Parents, please keep an eye on your damn kids" signs in both English and Spanish.

Yes, this was the same location from this past June where Milo pulled the fire alarm.

Now if we could only get him to listen...

Joey's pretend birthday

Ok... so he's only one and it's not like he's going to remember it anyway...

We didn't actually throw Joey a big bash for his birthday. However, knowing that the grandparents would be dying for pics... we went to the park and crashed another kid's birthday party just for the photo op.

Net savings = $40.... we put it right in his college fund.

"Daddy, you're a weiner"

I guess this would qualify under the 'play with fire' category...

The other day while I was putting a clean diaper on Milo he noticed that it was a little bulky in the front. Being the observant one, he said "Daddy, my diaper is too big"

Testing to see how he would respond I told him... "Perhaps it's not that your diaper is too big, but maybe your weiner is too small"

Milo looked at me and said "Daddy... you're a weiner"

With that... I think it's safe to say that he called my bluff....

Like father, like son...

Yes, there is a nearly identical picture of me at about the same age. It does make Daddy wonder at what point do you draw the line between child endangerment and a great photographic memoir... An unfazed Milo continues to eat his raisins.

Milo's helping organize the dressers

Milo decided he wanted to help Mommy and Daddy organize his and Joey's clothes by putting all the labels on the same drawer. I guess with hand-me-downs, it's hard to say whose clothes are really whose now. At least he was proud of his accomplishment.

"I want some chocolate juice"

Ok, so tonight's dinner, consisting of a special evening edition of our weekly pancake feed, gave us a whole new (and hopefully uncopywrited) term for chocolate milk.

Joey seemed quite with gnawing on individial pieces of pancake in an effort to see if a particular one tasted better than another.

Milo's dinner started out a little more challenging. Daddy accidently set Milo's plate within Joey's reach. In a matter of seconds, Milo's 2 pancakes - cut in quadrants, were quickly whisked away by a single chubby little infant arm. Also, when Milo realized he was out of chocolate milk, he made the following announcement:

"I want some chocolate juice"

He actually said 'chocolate' correctly the first time. However, this statment cause Mommy and Daddy to giggle... so then Milo repeated it several times. In these subsequent repititions, he replaced the standard pronunciation of 'chocolate' with a phoentically similar 'choc-elate' similar to how he still pronounces 'blankelet'

Anyway... my point being.... move over Hershey's... Milo may have his own product line soon.
