Milo has always enjoyed pizza. From the time he was 2 he's pretty much assumed that any knock on our door at dinner time usually meant the person on the other side of the door was holding an extra large extra cheese and onion pie. He's also been known to knock on the door himself from the inside and say "Pizza?"
Again, no doubt that he is our child from that...
Well, tonight we learned some sad news. Our friend Cindy, a manager at CiCi's Pizza is leaving us. The good news is her husband got a wonderful promotion that has given her an opportunity to stay at home and devote more time to her family in a new city.
Cindy loved seeing the boys whenever we came in. We were regular customers to the point that by the time we walked through the doorway she had a veggie pizza in the and had given orders to have a high chair for Joey delivered to our favorite table. And she always made a point to stop by and ask how we all were doing. It's tough to beat that kind of sincere service these days... especially considering it only cost $15 to take the family out for an evening.
Cindy became like a surrogate aunt for they boys during the time we spent living off McNeil. Considering how far we are away from most of our family, that's something pretty special.
