The feel of Motherly Love
As I was driving home from work today, I was blasting The Cure's "Galore" album, just for Milo (he didn't have any accidents today!).
Then, I had and insane surge of "Motherly Love." I turned off the music and said really loud:
Me: "Hey Milo and Joey!"
(silence)
Me: "Hey Milo and Joey!"
(silence)
Me: "You're supposed to say 'What?'"
Milo mutters: "What?"
Me: "I love you guys so much!"
Milo: "Yeah. (pause) Can you put The Cure on again?"
I humbly complied.

Milo's taste in Music
A couple of weeks ago I burned a copy of The Sugarcubes for Irene since she is a big Bjork fan. On the way to school, not more than 30 seconds into the first track Milo offered his critique of the Icelandic Pop Princess' vocal talent...
"She's screaming"
Not to All Parents... It's NEVER too early to teach your kids to be music snobs.
Joey's DVD Release
For you hardcore collectors, Joey's episode of Friday Night Lights is now available on DVD. Sadly, there were no extra sightings of him in the deleted scenes.
Please be sure to buy a copy and then write or e-mail NBC and tell them that the baby at the daycare is really cute and should get his own show along with his equally cute brother Milo.
As an added bonus, Coach Taylor's wife is looking pretty hot on the DVD cover. No wonder Joey was making eyes at here in his scene!
Oh, and if you're too cheap to buy the dvd... you can still stream episode #212 "Who do you think you are?" at nbc.com. Joey's scene is in the first 3:00 minutes or so. You can't miss him!

Good News / Bad News
Irene just called. Milo had a successful, unassisted 'poo' on the potty today. He was very proud of himself. (Of course, he was promised a cookie and a motorcycle ride if he made it through the day without an accident.)
Joey had a rather messy poo in his diaper. He then proceeded to stick his hands in his diaper and smear it on his chest and face. His teacher said he may have even eaten some of it.
Can you guess who and who isn't getting a big hug from daddy when he gets home?

Milo Gets Grounded Until He's 21
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Milo also has a dream.
Yesterday (April 5th) we were out shopping and over the radio in the store we heard U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday."
I looked down at Milo and said, "It's very special that we are hearing this song today because this song is about the fight for equality and the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and yesterday marked the 40th anniversary of his death. Did you know that Milo?"
Without even looking up, Milo said "Yep."
