Who wears short shorts?
It's not uncommon for younger Stepping Stone kids to come home wearing other kids' clothes. Sometimes this is done accidentally and other times it's done out of necessity.
Joey came home the other day wearing some shorts that were a little on the... um... feminine side. My worst fears were confirmed when I realized there were little bows on each leg.
Yes, we changed clothes before going to Burger King!

Father's Day
Today is Father's Day. Today, while many dads are enjoying a day off or tending to the manliest of household chores like mowing the lawn, washing a truck or motorcycle, etc... I'm unloading the dishwasher from last night's run.
My boys came over to help me by taking individual items out of the dishwasher and licking them.
Where would I be without their help?

Family Conflicts 101 with Dr. Milo
On our way to dinner this evening, Irene was standing outside the car while trying to get Milo's seatbelt buckled. Milo starting arguing with her because he wanted to do it himself.
Milo thought he had the perfect solution. He piped up from his booster seat and asked "Dad, can we just leave Mommy?"
For the safety of both of us, I decided to wait for Mommy to get in the car...
Happy Birthday!
Sunday was Joey's birthday! We spent the day at Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, TX.
We didn't take a lot of pics. Primarily because it's hard enough chasing after our boys as it is... let alone when both parents are lugging two inner tubes each!
Anyway, here's one very happy 3 year-old with a few Pringle's crumbs on his face enjoying his special day...
Why So Serious?
So from time to time Milo will try to bluff an unsubstantiated fear of something just to buy himself a few more minutes before bedtime. Many times these bluffs manifest themselves into a fear of the Joker - which I'm sure has nothing to do with the 20 hours a week he logs watching Batman movies and cartoons.
Tonight I thought I'd call him on his bluff. At bedtime, he said that I couldn't turn out the light because the Joker would get him. I told him that the Joker was in the closet but I would tell him not to bother Milo. I walked over to the closet, opened one side of the sliding door and said "Joker, please don't eat Milo... unless he gets out of bed, ok?"
Another one for the 'Didn't Expect That One' category... As I turned to walk away Joey jumped out of bed and ran over to the other side of the sliding door. As he carefully pushed the door open I heard him say "Batman?"

Wanted: Marker for Cap
Milo has a cool drawing book that uses dry erase markers. He rocks at tracing and creating new pictures.
Two weeks ago, he got a new marker. That night, all we could find was the
cap. The marker was M.I.A.
Yesterday, Joey brought us the marker. As he is still limited on the verbal side, we have no idea where it hid.
Makes you kinda wonder what else that little kid might be hiding...
